Friday Foxer #147

This week’s handmade co-op puzzle won’t defox itself. If you’re a dab hand at quizzes, lateral thinking, and search engine sleuthing, why not help out.

To fully defox the following geofoxer, identify all eleven locations plus the theme that links them.

  1. I – Fitzroy Place in London – the statue on the side of the house is of Francisco De Miranda, Venezuelan military leader, who lived there for a short time

      • And the statue of Prospero and Ariel by Eric Gill (that was attacked a while back because of Eric Gill being a wrong ‘un) is just out of shot on the left.

  2. Minack is not a font, so that’s out.

    Next suggestion – The Tempest.

    Statue of Prospero and Ariel
First play staged at the location of the Minack theatre.

  3. B is the south end of Blackfriars Bridge in London. Site of the discovery of the hanging body of Roberto Calvi, if that’s of any use.

  4. K. might be the wreck of the barque Trinculo (30th May 1879)
    Golden Beach, Victoria, Australia
but someone would have to confirm it.

    ETA: Trinculo is Alonso’s jester

  5. J. is the Australian National Aviation Museum of Melbourne
The first one is a missile, but I can’t find much about it
Right behind is a French Mirage IIIO
The yellow plane in the back is a CAC CA-28 Ceres
