The dragon’s share of today’s solo brainteaser is the work of guest foxer setter Electric Dragon. The scaly one earns a fox tile for helping out hardworking Roman.
“Where am I?”
Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View (all Solo Foxer solutions are Street Viewable), MAPfrappe, and other online tools, work out my location. The answer will appear under next Monday’s solo foxer.
Today I’m standing on an unpaved road next to a river. Equilatitudinous with a capital city, and equilongitudinous with a country Spain refuses to recognise, I’m in a country that has a shorter rail network than Tunisia and a lower highest point than any of the countries it neighbours. Neither its men’s nor women’s football team have ever qualified for a FIFA World Cup or a continental football championship. About 120km from the tomb of someone mentioned in a Monty Python song and 40km from a national border, I’m less than 500m from the nearest hospital, roughly 1300 feet from a theatre, and a seven minute walk from a museum full of timepieces.
You’re probably in the right place if you can see…
- a basketball hoop
- muddy puddles
- a colourful collection of racing shells
- a black Mazda estate
- sails
- a bridge neither pedestrians or vehicles can use
- a striped chimney
- a striped garment
I’m not in Pont-à-Mousson.
(Last week globetrotting guest foxer setter captaincabinets was literally here)
Sails, ahoy! I found the horological hotspot quite quickly but then took a while exploring the area to find the right location.
Muddy puddles ahoy! That was fun. Thanks Electric Dragon.
I’ll be tucking this away for later in the week when I have a chance, but in the meantime, thanks Electric Dragon! At this rate Roman will be looking for a new job soon.
Also, for those of you demanding proof of last week’s sojourn, please see the following photos:
