Assuming Riverview Artificial Intelligence grant me beta code access and give me the go-ahead, on The Corner later this week there’ll be some thoughts on, potentially, one of the most sophisticated wargame AIs ever made.

Ezra Sidran intends to Steam-launch his long-awaited labour of love with fifteen to twenty “solid scenarios”. A selection of these have recently been made available to backers in beta form.

American Civil War scraps such as Gettysburg, Antietam, and 1st Bull Run dominate the initial batch of clashes, but also included are a few reminders of Black Powder’s elasticity. Quatre Bras, Ligny, and Little Bighorn are the departures in question.

For most testers, the most unfamiliar battle/battlefield is likely to be ‘The American Kriegsspiel’. Plucked from the pages of one of the very first English-language wargaming rulebooks, and teeming with bridges, this scenario should give the chokepoint-aware MATE AI much to think about.

I have been following this forever. I am surprised that it is actually coming to fruition.
I hope you will get the beta code access ! I am very curious to see your review on this game that seems original (and has a lot of work behind) !
