Where am I?

Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View and tools such as MAPfrappe, work out my location.

Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.

Today I’m equilongitudinous with a village that shares a name with one of Bendigo’s sister cities. Around fifty metres from a helicopter landing pad, and 340m from a museum dedicated to a craft involving pins and bobbins, I’m in a country that has a photo of a triple jumper on its Wikipedia page. The country begins with the same letter as the town-sized ‘city’ you’re searching for. The three closest top tier football clubs play home games in stadia that are all roughly 43 miles away from my location.

You’re probably in the right place if you can see…

  • Boats
  • Bridges
  • A siren
  • A roundabout
  • A JCB 532
  • A wheelchair
  • Two lawnmowers
  • Two fire axes
  • Two people holding hands
  • Seven ‘no entry’ signs
  • The word “VERMELHA”

I’m not in Pont-à-Mousson.

(Last week I was here)

  1. Boats ahoy! Polished off nice and early this week. Don’t tell anyone but I even managed to sneak this one in as part of the working day.
