Unlike the formidable Friday foxers, the Monday kind are designed with lone truth sleuths in mind. While Roman, my Chief Foxer Setter, would be very interested to know how long it takes you to defox today’s brainteaser, he requests that the comments section isn’t used to share solutions or drop hints.
“Where am I?”
Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View (all Solo Foxer solutions are Street Viewable), MAPfrappe, and other online tools, work out my location. The answer will appear under next Monday’s solo foxer.
Today I’m about one and a half miles from a 6-inch gun, and four kilometres from a very unusual bridge. Close to that bridge is an American-made diesel locomotive that last moved several decades ago. A stone’s throw from an Evergreen shipping container, I’m equilatitudinous with three landlocked countries and equilongitudinous with a lake that’s bigger than Albania. My antipode is in the north of a country that begins with ‘c’ and has a left-wing president. The nearest runway to my location is less than two miles away and has an 18 painted at one end.
You’re probably in the right place if you can see…
- Red steps
- The ocean
- A mirror
- A rotary washing line
- A bicycle
- Outboard motors
- Coconut trees
- A stepladder
- A Tennant Sentinel
I’m not in Pont-à-Mousson.
(Last week I was here)
Last week was an hour or more, this week was a relatively brisk 20 mins or less.
Coconut tress ahoy! Thanks Roman.
