Friday Foxer #242

Every Friday, Tally-Ho Corner’s cleverest clogs come together to solve a ‘foxer’ handcrafted by my sadistic chum and colleague, Roman. A complete ‘defoxing’ sometimes takes several days and usually involves the little grey cells of many readers. All are welcome to participate.

The communal ‘day tripper’ foxer has a fair bit in common with the solo ‘Where am I?’. Roman expects you to visit a particular place – Wrexham in this case – and locate, with the help of Google Street View, all of the things on his list. He’s fairly flexible when it comes to sightings. If, say, ‘A tiger’ was on the list, a picture or model of the beast would be sufficient.

All answers must be verifiable using Street View. On day one, players are limited to four defoxes per person.

Head to Wrexham please, and locate…

1. A fox
2. A sheep
3. A goat
4. An electric guitar
5. An astronaut
6. A helicopter
7. A flake
8. A poppy
9. A revolving door
10. A Portuguese explorer
11. A hearse
12. Strontium Dog
13. The TripAdvisor logo
14. A Wrexham AFC shirt
15. The word ‘Valentines’
16. The words ‘LON BYSIAU’
17. The words ‘I shall not want’

  2. 1: Not one, but two foxes! https://maps.app.goo.gl/RFydXFnVAh1mkVLV6

I’m introducing a new rule to this foxer, because although Roman may be flexible and my foxes may be legit in his eyes, I’m not particularly happy with them.

SO anyone who finds a better example of a fox (a live one, a three-dimensional one, or simply a bigger one) can take full defoxing credit instead of me in next week’s solutions.

  3. 2. A sheep (Mrs Nutfield)
