Where am I?

Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.

Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.

Today you’ll find me a stone’s throw from the River Clyde. Within three kilometres of my location there are four railway stations, one RSPB reserve, and the home of one Scottish Premiership football club. I’m a 45 minute walk from the site of a Seventeenth Century battle, and a 25 minute walk from the site of a Roman fort.

You are probably in the right place if you can see…

  • A mallard
  • A swan
  • A Condor
  • Geese
  • A Golden Retriever
  • Masts
  • A person doing a handstand
  • A tractor
  • A memorial engraved with the names of people who perished in an Eighties disaster
  • The words ‘Sometimes life feels too hard’

  1. Golden retriever ahoy! I found the general area in 5 minutes, but it took me a good 15 minutes more to find the exact location. I have found everything but the memorial…

  2. Similar to yiwoja but have found all the objects. Got plenty of (virtual) steps in trying to find them all. Over 30 minutes. Roman has excellent eyesight, or a good telephoto lens.
