Where am I?

Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View and tools such as MAPfrappe, work out my location.

Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.

Today you’ll find me in an EU country that is in the Men’s World Rugby Rankings Top 20, has a higher GDP than Indonesia, and a photo of a wolf on its Wikipedia page. About 8.5km from an open-to-the-elements 105mm field gun, and 14km from a lighthouse with a red top, I’m closer to a dolphinarium than I am to a fire station, and closer to a tourist information office than a roundabout. The nearest capital city begins with an ‘A’ and is south of my location. The nearest karting track is a twenty minute walk away, and is adjacent to a festival venue.

You are probably in the right place if you can see…

  • a duck
  • a chicken
  • two volcanos
  • three horses
  • four red litter bins
  • twenty-seven globular bollards
  • a building with nineteen floors
  • a hexagonal building
  • a pile of branches
  • the word ‘COYOTE’
  • the word ‘Telefonica’
  • the words ‘ANY COMBINATION YOU WISH’

(Last week I was here)

  1. Twenty-seven globular bollards, ahoy! Harder than the last couple of weeks (maybe I’d have got there quicker if I’d taken the clues in a different order, and there was a nice red herring in there) but a fun hunt, thanks!
