Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View and tools like MAPfrappe, work out my location.
Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.
Today I’m roughly two hundred metres from an ocean and less than ten miles from a country that gained independence in the mid Sixties. Equilatitudinous with a country that has purple on its flag, and equilongitudinous with an island that attracts over a million British tourists every year, I’m in a village where colourful fishing boats are common. The nearest international border follows a serpentine river. The nearest railway is a seemingly abandoned branch line that vanishes into the savannah about 100 miles NNE of my location.
You’re probably in the right place if you can see…
- Two pheasants
- Five sacks of onions
- A blue Peugeot 306
- A chequered table
- A striped kettle
- Real Madrid’s badge
- The words “HIGH SPEED”
- The word “REVENDEUR”
- The word “DEMBA”
- The word “HAMPSHIRE”
I’m not in Pont-à-Mousson.
(Last week I was here)
Two pheasants ahoy! I spent most of the time in the wrong country this week.
Quality defoxing! Roman was relatively mean this week.
Found in 15 minutes, by chance once I narrowed down the place I dropped the pin on the exact location!
Excellent work.
