Where am I?

Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.

Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.

Today you’ll find me on an island that most visitors reach by ferry. The island is in a country that has a fifty-something monarch and a fifty-something prime minister, and a photo of Adolf Hitler on its Wikipedia page. On a road that has a triple digit numerical identifier (Added together the three digits equal ten) I’m less than 100 metres from a clay tennis court, and approximately 700m from the sea. The closest capital city is in a foreign country and has a population of around 4.5 million people. Equilongitudinous with a landlocked microstate and a factory mentioned in a THC rail tour, and equlilatitudinous with a US city with a well-known prison, I’m a nine minute drive from the nearest lighthouse. A two minute walk from my location is a swimming pool that is the same shape as the island you’re seeking.

You’re probably in the right place if you can see…

  • Mopeds
  • The number ’16’
  • Red cycle lanes
  • The word ‘SPUTNIK’ (with a backwards ‘P’)
  • The words ‘HANG LOOSE’
  • A Fanatic Lite Bee
  • More potted plants than people

I’m not in Pont-à-Mousson.

(Last week I was here)
