Unlike the formidable Friday foxers, the Monday kind are designed with lone truth sleuths in mind. While Roman, my Chief Foxer Setter, would be very interested to know how long it takes you to defox the following brainteaser, he requests that the comments section isn’t used to share solutions or drop hints.
“Where am I?”
Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, Wikipedia, MAPfrappe and other tools, work out my location. The answer will appear under next Monday’s solo foxer.
Today I’m precisely one mile from one of the locations featured in last Friday’s geofoxer. Equilongitudinous with the local airport and equilatitudinous with a museum stuffed with Victorian taxidermy, I’m in a country that has higher average annual precipitation than Spain, a lower age of consent, and an older head of state. To visit the country’s second largest city I’d need to travel northeastward.
You’re probably in the right place if you can see…
- A railway bridge
- A road named after a coffee magnate
- An advertisement for Winston cigarettes
- A white tram
- A factory where breakfast cereal is/was made
- A truck with these two-digit numbers emblazoned on its side: 00 46 52 54 54 73
I’m not in Pont-à-Mousson.
(Last week I was here)
