Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.
Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.
Today I’m within the eroded caldera of a large shield volcano, in a country that has a yellow national flower, and a photo of a mushroom cloud on its Wikipedia page. Said country is ranked higher than Scotland and Wales in the FIFA Men’s World Rankings, and issued two unusual Great War postage stamps last month. Roughly 4.5 km from the scene of a notable bank robbery, and approximately 2.8 miles from a steam engine built in Lincolnshire more than a century ago, I’m a three-minute drive from a river that shares a name with a well-known woollen fabric. The winding country road I’m on has an occupational name, and a river bridge with wooden decking close to one of its ends. The state you’re searching for has a female governor and a floral logo.
You are probably in the right place if you can see…
- A Hampshire gate
- A white bus
- A UNIC crane
- Eucalyptus trees
- No road markings
- No streelights
- No cars
- No people
- Parts of a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- The edge of a town
- Spectacular views
(Last week I was here)
No people ahoy! A tough one for me this week due to finding an alternative town with a notable bank robbery and Lincolnshire shire built steam engine and duly wasting time tramping about in Street View. More than an hour!
Spectacular views indeed. Just under an hour for me this week.
