Where am I?

Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.

Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.

Today, you’ll find me a stone’s throw from an ice-less ice hockey rink, on a road named after a geologist. The closest Olympic Games host city is over 2000 kilometres away and the nearest cathedral is made of wood.

You are probably in the right place if you can see…

  • Stylised pepperoni
  • An art museum
  • A bus shelter
  • A pink house
  • A polar bear
  • A ten-storey building
  • More than one zebra crossing
  • The word ‘BLOK’
  • A shop that sells Faxe beer
  • No trees
  • No kerb stones

  1. Polar bear ahoy! Found in less than 10 minutes. It is very satisfying when the clues seem very cryptic at first (like here with no explicit country clue) but the solution comes naturally.

  2. Where were you last week?

(I generally don’t attempt to solve these, but I love them for the virtual tourism and trivial trivia, so I never miss one.)
