Where am I?

Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.

Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.

Today I’m in a city that has a photograph of U-boats on its Wikipedia page. Standing on a street that shares a name with a 2006 movie, I’m closer to a steam locomotive than I am to an in-use railway station, and closer to a mural depicting characters from a TV show than I am to a river bank.

You are probably in the right place if you can see…

  • A skeleton
  • Bagpipes
  • Numerous drums
  • Red, white, and blue kerbstones
  • Lofty Buddlejas
  • A quill pen
  • A notable place of worship
  • A bonfire site
  • A chimney sweep’s van
  • 17th Century stonework
  • The words ‘UNDER SIEGE’
  • The words ‘SUPPORT SOLDIER F’

(Last week I was here)
