Hear the bell? Run like hell

A skillful ringer can communicate pretty subtle things with the THC scramble bell. For instance, the combination of clangs, bongs, and ting-tings that’s currently cacophonising the Corner tells me that Scramble: Battle of Britain is Early Accessible at long last, that the recently updated Gary Grigsby’s Eagle Day to Bombing the Reich is just eight quid at present, and that I can now play Target For Today using Tabletop Sim.

  1. I picked up Scramble:Battle of Britain yesterday. Have been looking forward to it since I heard about it and I really enjoyed the demo.

As a lover of combat sims with the reflexes of a sloth, this is right in my wheelhouse. Have definitely enjoyed a few hours with it so far but do wonder about it’s staying power. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it.

  2. Despite thinking I’d be scared off by what I assumed was the complexity and time sink required by the Grigsby games, I’ve gotten into both War in the East (1) and War in the Pacific over the past year and had some of my most enjoyable hex time ever. Picked up Eagle Day as I suspect I’ll like that quite a bit too.
