Heavy cargo = heavy responsibility

I can’t look at Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator screenshots without thinking of one of the UK’s most idiotic rail accidents. In the released-yesterday-to-luke-warm-Steam-reviews, HCTTS, I presume the procedure on arriving at a level crossing isn’t “Wait for automatic barriers to open, then cross fingers and put pedal to metal”.

On a related note, I’ve never understood why bog-standard traffic lights aren’t employed at level crossings in the UK rather than the potentially confusing flashing reds & amber arrangement. Because even inexperienced British motorists have encountered standard traffic signals numerous times, there would, I reckon, be much less chance of dangerous misunderstandings occurring.

  1. Tim, have you ever got to try a Saitek ‘Heavy Equipment Wheel and Pedals’ or similar?

Nice about Windows 10, I just wish they’d bring that compatibility to their older products.
As for the second line … I’ve no idea what they’re envisioning.

  2. For anyone looking in the US, it is worth noting that Logitech bought Saitek in 2016. The identical Heavy Equipment Wheel and Pedals set is marketed as a Logitech product here.

Also worth noting, the reviews seem to indicate rather questionable build quality and durability. Given Logitech’s already dismal customer support, that’s enough for me to give it a pass.
