Every Friday, Tally-Ho Corner’s cleverest clogs come together to solve a ‘foxer’ handcrafted by my sadistic chum and colleague, Roman. A complete ‘defoxing’ sometimes takes several days and usually involves the little grey cells of many readers. All are welcome to participate.
The honeycomb below is a fancy form of wordsearch in which every cell is used, and words can curl and zigzag but never overlap. Each hive foxer has a theme (some past ones: owls, rugby, Egypt, UFOs…). Identifying the theme is a vital part of the defoxing process.

SOLUTIONS
Last week’s geofoxer theme: the numbers 501 to 512
501 = E (Phlebas, a_monk)
502 = C (Viscount)
503 = I (Phlebas)
504 = B (Phlebas)
505 = K (a_monk)
506 = F (Zwack23)
507 = D (Colonel_K, a_monk)
508 = G (Phlebas)
509 = A (Phlebas)
510 = J (copperbottom, a_monk)
511 & 512 = H (a_monk)
H8 WHITECHAPEL
M2 DONGLE
G10. THE THING – covert listening device?
F5 BARQUE
If Whitechapel is correct then G13 might be PELAGIA, which could be any of these.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelagia_(disambiguation)
could also be PELAGIAN, which would use up one of the awkward number of consonants in that corner…
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelagianism
H7 ALARM
I1 CLAPPER(s)
J7 FRIEDHOF (German for cemetery)
K9 JINGLE
Bells?
D6/E7 TINTINABULATION
I think the spelling is tintinnabulation. Which leaves G2 TSAR
G5. QUASIMODO
M3 GLOCKEN
L4. GRANDSIRE – method typically used on an odd number of bells
D3. LIBERTY
Maybe too easy, but a BOURDON is a type of bell (A1)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bourdon_(bell)
or B3
G13. PEAL ?
D9 BIANZHONG
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bianzhong
E10. GREAT TOM – in eponymous tower in Oxford
A1 or B3 BENKEI
https://www.bells.org/blog/legend-benkei-and-great-bell-mii-dera
leaving d7 COPPER and D6/E7 TIN, I suppose?
Pedantic Roman informs me that one answer remains undiscovered.
Are there accidentally two solutions? I’ve just filled the whole lot with answers in the comments and there are no gaps?
There’s the squiggle in the corners which half-resembles a Bell-ringer’s Knot but looks a bit more intricate (has more crossings-over).
Or I can say dong a few times.
A5. DONG
PS. M3. GLOCKENFRIEDHOF should be a single answer – Bell Cemetery: collection point for bronze bells during the World Wars, prior to their conversion into war materiel.
Definitely two possible solutions then because my hive is complete and has no room for a dong (so to speak).
Quality defoxing. GLOCKENFRIEDHOF was the missing answer.
Ah, I confused missing correct answer with available hexes on the board. In my defence, I am an idiot.
