Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, and tools such as MAPfrappe work out my location.
Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.
Today you’ll find me around 550 metres from a road that is over 2000 kilometres long. The spot is within a ‘city’ that would be considered a medium-sized town if it was in the UK. Said city begins with the same letter as the nearest national capital. The local airport has an ICAO code ending in R. The antipode of my location is roughly a mile from a large Renault Group factory. Equilongitudinous with a country that has a seabird on its flag, I’m equilatitudinous with a country that has an annual inflation rate of over 100%.
You’re probably in the right place if you can see…
- Dinosaurs
- A huge kingfisher
- Green traffic lights
- Golden Arches
- Three Ford Ranger XLTs
- A bus shelter
- Colonel Sanders
- The words ‘EMERGENCY ASSEMBLY AREA’
- The words ‘Lilliput Library’
- The words ‘HOT SHAVES’
I’m not in Pont-à-Mousson.
(Last week I was here)
Dinosaurs ahoy! About 40 minutes this week. Over two sessions, quitting the first with a small bout of “This is impossible, Roman’s got it wrong” and then after a bit more application the realisation that Roman did not get it wrong.
