Where am I?

Worried your solo defoxing skills are already starting to rust? Tackle this geographical brainteaser post-haste.

Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.

Today, I’m in the capital city of a country that has a photo of a burning tram on its Wikipedia page. Three of the country’s neighbours have qualified for this year’s FIFA World Cup. Roughly 2.2 km from a bullring that can hold more people than the Wembley Arena, and about 1.2 km from a statue of a woman executed by a firing squad in the early nineteenth century, I’m SEbS of the nearest railway station.

You are probably in the right place if you can see…

  • a patrol cap
  • a Norfolk Island pine
  • a shoeshiner’s accoutrements
  • a rough sleeper
  • a cartoon saint
  • XL eaves
  • the spire of a striped place of worship
  • three distracted cops
  • yellow and black kerbstones
  • the word ‘PEATONAL’
  • the word ‘CLAVE’
  • the word ‘MUSEO’
  • the word ‘CHANGUA’
  • the word ‘DERECHO’
