Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.
Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.
Today I’m in a crescent rather than a road or street. The crescent is in a UK town that gave its name to an aircraft in the 1930s. The town has a population of less than 7000 people, an unusual postcode, and a very safe MP (at the last general election he secured more votes than all his opponents put together). About 800 metres from an artillery fort and 200 metres from a Nepalese restaurant, I’m NW of the nearest coastguard base. If I wanted to attend a top tier football match or visit the closest national park, I’d need to travel over 200 miles.
You are probably in the right place if you can see…
- Scooters
- Bikes
- A boat
- A postman
- A Liverpool FC shirt
- A blue Nissan Primastar
- A homemade goal
- A pressure washer
- At least a dozen footballs
- A rocky hillside
- An unusually robust shed roof
(Last week I was here)
