Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.
Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.
Today I’m in a city that rebelled in the Sixteenth Century and is twinned with a Baltic state capital. The city’s football team has a bovine nickname and usually plays in blue. About 70 metres from a river that is about 200 kilometres in length, and 800 metres from a statue that makes Roman think of a famous movie released in the year 2000, I’m in a country that has a photo of a Willys MB on its Wikipedia page. The nearest place of worship is roughly 100 metres away and is busiest on a Saturday.
You are probably in the right place if you can see…
- Knights
- Hot air balloons
- Copper dragons
- A parachutist
- A guillotine
- A metal corvid
- A blue Vauxhall Movano
- A building that didn’t exist in 2017
- A tram stop that begins with the letter V
- Tintin’s rocket
- More bikes than cars
- The word ‘UITGEZONDERD’
- A beer that is over 8% alcohol
(Last week I was here)
A metal corvid ahoy! Quite a while this week, I had the wrong statue and like a dog with a tasty bone refused to let it go.
