Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.
Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.
Today I’m in a country that has never won a medal at a Winter Olympic Games, and has a photo of a dozing fox and a Royal Navy heavy cruiser on its Wikipedia page. About 140 metres from a row of houses with sod roofs, and 850 metres from a dairy that employs over a hundred people and produces considerable quantities of ***r, I’m in a town with a population of approximately ten thousand people that experiences earthquakes fairly regularly. The nearest place of worship to my location is a Kingdom Hall. The nearest museum is less than a mile away and is filled with exhibits related to an internationally famous ***s* *l**** who died in 2008.
You are probably in the right place if you can see…
- Lupins
- Hostas
- Benches
- An island
- A Deutz 15 PS
- A fire station
- Photographs of anglers
- A supermarket
- Cranes
- A fishy flag
- White water
- No people
- No brine
(Last week I was here)
Lupins ahoy! Sixteen minutes.
I timed it this week, but I won’t be doing that again – it creates too much stress. It’s much better to have a casual approach and blame outside distractions if defoxing stretches on.
