Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.
Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.
Today I’m in an English county that has a photograph of a Harry Potter filming location, a pig, and a cable-stayed bridge on its Wikipedia page. The county’s cricket team has never won an official County Championship and roughly half of the county’s county councillors are Liberal Democrats. The town I’m in is represented by a male Liberal Democrat MP, and is no stranger to flooding. The nearest motorway has an odd, single-digit number and is about a mile and half from my location. On display in the local museum is a 1:76 battle diorama guaranteed to gladden the heart of a wargamer.
You are probably in the right place if you can see…
- Whitebeams
- A pink hoodie
- A black cab
- A silver Viano
- A flock of pigeons
- Grassy gutters
- Boarded-up windows
- A footbridge
- An impressive parish church
- A pizzeria
- Narrowboats
- The words ‘REFURBISHED AND STRENGTHENED’
(Last week I was here)
Grassy gutters ahoy! Nice and quick this week after a couple of longer ones. About fifteen minutes?
