Where am I?

Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.

Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.

Today I’m on a British ‘A’ road that has a feminine name, and a three digit number (the three digits add up to seventeen). The local MP is a woman and secured a ten percent majority at the last election. Her closest rival in that election was the sitting MP and wasn’t a member of the Conservatives, Labour Party, or Liberal Democrats. About 500 metres from the end of a disused runway and 300 metres from a place where a railway station once stood, I’m closer to the nearest lighthouse than I am to the nearest functioning railway station. Said railway station is served by elderly DMUs and is rather photogenic. The postcode hereabouts includes a K, and the dialling code ends with double five.

You are probably in the right place if you can see…

  • Sand
  • A ballroom
  • A Sikorsky S-76C-2
  • A four-faced clock
  • A massive milestone
  • A sizeable flagpole
  • A John Deere ProGator
  • A building that once served as a military hospital
  • Two Openreach vans

(Last week I was here)
