Where am I?

Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.

Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.

Today, I’m on a street that shares a name with an RAF aircraft. The street is a town that shares a name with one of J. R. R. Tolkien’s characters. The town is in a province that has an ungulate on its flag, and the province is in a country where using cannabis recreationally isn’t illegal. Said country’s PM holds citizenship in three different countries and has the same surname as a footballer who’s played at four FIFA Women’s World Cups. The nearest railway line is about 2 km east of my location, and serves three local businesses, one of which is a whisky distillery. The nearest international border is about 180 km away. The closest city with a population of over half a million people is due south of my location and has a photo of a bogus Nazi on its Wikipedia page.

You are probably in the right place if you can see…

  • Boats
  • A yellow school bus
  • More TVs than people
  • No road markings
  • A Commando
  • A vacuum cleaner
  • The words ‘TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED’
  • The words ‘Serving the North’

(Last week I was here)
