Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.
Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.
Today I’m less than a mile from the bank of a river that’s over 200 miles long, and less than four kilometres from a nuclear power station that stopped operating in the 1980s. On an even-numbered trunk road, I’m closer to a church than an open-air public swimming pool, and closer to a cricket pitch than a golf course. The nearest pub to my location would score 0 in a game of pub cricket.
You are probably in the right place if you can see…
- Signs of spring
- A plume of smoke
- Numerous drains
- A factory where ***ps are made
- A yellow box containing a telephone
- A Grade II listed bridge
- A mystifying wooden structure
- A saddle tank
- A sign warning drivers of a 7.5-tonne weight restriction
- A pannier tank
- The words ‘PENALTY £1000’
- The words ‘SCHWEIZER ELECTRONIC’
(Last week I was here)
Signs of spring ahoy! Probably my quickest ever defoxing.
Also to add, the Foxers seem simpler recently and personally I think that’s a good thing (although it must be fiendishly difficult to gauge). Thanks Roman.
Plume of smoke ahoy! Found in about 20minutes. Today I learned about pub cricket 🙂
