Using the following clues (the map above is purely decorative) in combination with Street View, work out my location.
Although Roman, THC’s chief puzzlewright, would be interested to know how long it takes you to solve this solo foxer, he’d rather you didn’t put spoilers or solutions in the comments.
Today, you’ll find me in a city with a name that may make you think of PC Gamer. The city was the scene of a battle in 1918, and is in a country that has one living former president. Said country has photos of a gold mine and the northern lights on its Wikipedia page, and a higher calling code than any of its land neighbours. The nearest bus stop is a stone’s throw away and is used by at least eight different bus services. Most of the buses that pause there are blue liveried. I’m just over a kilometre from a padlock-festooned footbridge and a pump track. The closest petrol station is topped with a car park. The nearest Kingdom Hall lies to the north, the nearest beach volleyball court to the west. Approximately 900 metres from my location is a handsome functionalist clock tower.
You are probably in the right place if you can see…
- A roundabout
- A red coat
- A tall brick chimney
- A wheelchair user
- A water tower
- Cubist trees
- A STIHL chainsaw
- The word ‘LASER’
- A word containing eight vowels
(Last week I was here)
Cubist trees ahoy! About 15 mins altogether although it took a bit of trial and error positioning to spot all the elements.
35 minutes for this duo, and only because I’ve been reading Tim Stone for faaaaaaar too long and so the PCGamer reference was a clincher.
I had no idea about the PC Gamer reference till
Oops, I didn’t realise I’d left this. Anyway, a bit of a shocker this week, well over an hour. A tall brick chimney ahoy!
That was tough one for me! Well over an hour. Can’t believe how long it took for me to make the PC gamer connection.
