This week’s handmade co-op puzzle won’t defox itself. If you’re a dab hand at quizzes, lateral thinking, and search engine sleuthing, why not help out.
To fully defox the following geofoxer, identify all ten locations plus the theme that links them.

SOLUTIONS
Last week’s (unverified) glider foxer High Score: 86 (a_monk)
B – Gunwharf Keys, Portsmouth, looking towards Spinnaker Tower
‘Behind the Vulcan building, and dwarfed by it, is a former shell store (Building No. 25) dating from 1856’
Not surprisingly a place called Gunwharf Keys had a building to store shells.
F – Shell Grotto, Margate

D. George Street, Hastings or as the person who uploaded it has it: Butler’s Gap

J is in Amsterdam, taken from the restaurant near the top of the A’DAM Lookout building
Formerly Shell’s Overhoeks Tower, wikipedia says. So are we just looking for shells? Snails have them!
C: is Venice, looking South toward St Mark’s Campanile, working out exact spot is a bit too tricky as it’s not at the street level!
Seems to be the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo, although this isn’t the right photo

Staircase of the snail, apparently, if that helps. Used in an Orson Welles film, but that doesn’t seem to be true of anything else.
E – Sea Slug missile displayed at Wickenby Aerodrome

Hmm, slugs definitely *don’t* have shells! Butler’s Gap has a statue of a conger eel, but eels don’t seem to be particularly related to slugs and snails…
G. Mickey Mantle Plaza at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, Oklahoma City
(Baseballist not known as “The Slug”, unfortunately, but rather “the Mick” and “the Commerce Comet”)
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4654045,-97.5091533,3a,75y,77.79h,89.01t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s2M_I6tppDvRapTDQBK_yiA!2e0!5s20190201T000000!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu
Though he does have the highest slugging percentage in World Series games.
Slugs and snails – any puppy dogs’ tails? 😀
Slugs and snails do have a mantle, though!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantle_(mollusc)
To chip in on the category it could be molluscs which I don’t think has been explicitly said yet.
Sea slugs, snails and the various shells are molluscs
D. Butlers gap, has an octopus as well as the eel and they’re molluscs
That’s entirely building on the work of others though. Sometimes it’s good to turn up late and I don’t have any idea on the remaining locations.
H is Collingwood Street in Nelson NZ, with a large squid on the wall

Colonel K’s Defoxing Traits:
1). Foxer requires logical steps and planning = Defoxing ability -1
Example-

prepared second attempt 66

Example-
I’ll try googling “Ammonite wall”
A. Dalle aux Ammonites

I tried a few random molluscs for that, but only living ones!
I spent a while earlier hunting for things specifically called ‘christian science society’, and then eventually tracked down H by googling ‘yellow organic shop new zealand’. No naps involved, though.
I – Ōgushi Shell Midden
